Office Move???

Let's see...two screaching teenage girls on my bus today. Yep, school's definitely back in session. *cringes*  Fortunately the buses weren't packed...yet. Tomorrow at 3 PM is the big announcement regarding the Sport Alliance, the managing body of the building which houses the office I work in. The head lease on the Sport Alliance building is up in 2009  and, rumour has it, all the offices will be forced to move at that time. Suffice to say, if they plan on moving the OHF to Markham, or anywhere else that requires me to travel for longer than 1 hour, I shall be looking for another job. Notice the proposed date for the move...that little bit of info is rather significant. I will be debt free in 2009 so I will be in a position where I can find any job that suits my interest, regardless (more-or-less) of the pay range. Granted it will be difficult to find a job with all the benefits I enjoy now, so hopefully I will be able to continue with the OHF. We'll see soon enough.

US Open news - Feliciano Lopez (aka Felipe Luciano, according the commentators) made a rather valiant effort in his 4th round match against Darth Federer. F-Lo won the first set and came quite close to winning the second. It was pretty much downhill after that. If only Rafa and Feli could combine their talents - that is, Feli's serve mixed with Rafa's everything else - you would have the perfect tennis player. I am happy F-Lo had his moment to shine on prime time. Too bad the results weren't a little better. Thankfully, Haas beat Blake. Unfortunately Berdych had to retire - I would have preferred to see him face off against Federer than Roddick. Moya just defeated Gulbis to move on to the QFs. Chela survived a gruelling five set match and hopefully will be quite exhausted when he plays against Rafa in the QFs should Rafa be so fortunate as to defeat David Ferrer later this evening. Vamos Rafa. I am also happy to see that Shahar has made it through to the QFs on the women's side. You go girl!!!

Tonight - Registration Committee conference call. *headdesk*

Somehow I think that if you said you were leaving because of where they were moving the office they'd move the office to accommodate you rather than loose you...after 12 years you're not that easily replaceable...whereas office spaces are a dime a dozen!
