Booklist & Gabriel...

I am so proud of myself right now. I spent the whole (work) day updating my book wishlist which now details every book including ISBN#, cost, availability, # of pages and a brief paragraph summary noting what the book is about. My previous booklist summary only included rankings and half the time I couldn't remember which book was which as the titles can be very deceptive. The new list , which is 27 pages long, will make my life a whole lot easier when it comes to making future purchases. *prays for $$$ to arrive soon* Now I just have to make sure all my associated lists, that is, Amazon.com wishlist and excel summary spreadsheet, correspond. YAY more work!!! And YES, before you say it, I know I am anal...

Last night I watched an Aussie indi movie entitled Gabriel which was really quite well done, all things considered. The movie, which I am dubbing a 'gothic action thriller',  dealt  basically with the Archangels sent from Heaven to fight the fallen angels in an effort to restore the balance of power (you know, your typical good vs bad -light vs darkness theme rehashed). It looked like a graphic novel - think Underworld meets The Matrix meets 300. Anyhow, it made me realize how quickly I forgot the who's who in Paradise Lost - I needed a guidebook to remember the names of the fallen angels and even some of the Archangels. *hangs head* Well at least Rapha was cool...can't say the same for Michael though. Tonight's movie is The Seeker and I currently have Enchanted and Nancy Drew on hold for the weekend. Popcorn anyone???

There are two angel compendiums on my bookcase...one is specifically called "A Dictionary of Angels" and it's a pretty exhaustive source...it takes from many sources not just one.
