VDay, Rotterdam, Acropolis, Gwyn and the weekend...

Happy V-Day (although frankly I was more excited about yesterday, that is, Friday the 13th...) With V-Day in mind, Kickette posted the following little quiz which I though was mildly amusing:

"So, in keeping with the spirit of the day, here’s a question, dear readers: which baller would be your long term, booty call and boy crush?"
My Long Term = Casillas
My Booty Call = Amauri
My Boy Crush = Higuain
(to be fair, I think Gago kind of fits all the above though)

Rafa is one victory away from his second title of the year. It should be a great match tomorrow against Andy Murray. I was a bit worried about the Tsonga QF and today's Semi against Monfils but Rafa pulled through and has definitely had a very successful tournament. Hopefully it will end on a good note.

The deliberations over where I will be taking my next extended vacation have escalated. With the opening of the new Acropolis museum, Greece is back on the high priority list. Now that the museum is a go, how long do you think it will be before the war over the Parthenon I refuse to refer to them as the Elgin Marbles heats up? No offense to Britain but they should go back to Greece.

For only the second time in my life I forced myself to watch The Oprah Winfrey Show purely for the fact that my celebrity girlcrush (aside of course from Diablo Cody) was on for the entire hour. Yes, that would be Gwyneth Paltrow. She was on to promote healthy living and, for the second half of the show, was cooking with chef Mario Batali as a followup to their TV Show and book, Spain, A Culinary Road Trip. Apparently they are planning another culinary journey, this time through Italy :-) You can find more about her lifestyle with tips on everything from exercise, travel, cooking, life lessons, etc. on her website GOOP. Only problem with the show was that Oprah spent more time discussing Gwyn's friendship with Madonna than Gwyn herself. I really dislike Oprah. Maybe I'm the only person on the planet who does but I just think she is a bit too self-righteous. quidquid

Tonight - rented Brideshead Revisited and Babylon A.D. (which, according to the Rogers Video store clerk, is total crap) so it will be popcorn and HD night.

Tomorrow - 9 AM Juventus, 11 AM Real Madrid, 1 PM  going to Mirella's to help create her LJ. I believe the Inter/AC Milan game is on as well in the afternoon and the big premiere of Season 14 of the Amazing Race is scheduled for 8 PM. TBA on the new virtual team name

Have a great weekend y'all :D

I didn't see the final as I was off visiting a friend but I hear he struggled with an injury during the match. I hope is better in time for Dubai. Poor baby. I'm still proud of him for making it that far and he has gained yet more points in the standings.
