My three favourite topics...

Just a little bit of news for today that kind of blew me away...

First, soccer - quote from Gonzalo Higuain:
"I was born in France in the city of Brest because that's where my father played. But we emigrated to Argentina when I was just one year old. I started at school and then at the age of seven I signed for River Plate."
...SEVEN....o_O....are you kidding me??? Is that a typo??? Was something lost in the translation??

Second, soccer - quote/story from Amauri:
Amauri has recalled an occasion when he was a victim of racial discrimination and described as a thief because of his appearance..."I remember a time when I was in a pharmacy and I was accused of stealing a pack of nappies,” Amauri told Gioia magazine. “I was putting them down. The shelf was near the automatic door, which opened. The pharmacist wanted to call the police, but I hadn't done anything wrong. I was just a foreigner who couldn't speak Italian very well. I responded to the pharmacist and I said, 'Call the police, you're the racist one. I am more Italian than you and I will represent your country one day.' "
*LOL* Good for him. I'm still holding my breath on the whole playing for Team Italia though...

Oh poor Amauri...that's just awful to be judged by what he looks like...which is damn hot and he's not even might type!!!

Only no. 11? You'd think he'd be higher....especially over no.6 who has only recently come into the 'global' public eye!
