Weekend matches

Derby weekend turned out pretty much as expected. In Madrid, Real Madrid crushed Atletico Madrid (YAY, sorry Diego). In Italy, Roma found a way to beat Lazio(boo!!!). I maintain that the turning point of the Lazio Roma game was the missed call by the the ref(s) when Roma blatantly took out poor Mauri. That game should have ended in a draw. Nonetheless, Lazio still on top of Serie A...hopefully for a little while longer *prays* Further positives - Napoli was victorious thanks to two goals from Cavani and Palermo also won thanks to a great play by Pastore.

Tonight I shall finish reading Dracula and watch a bit of Hawaii Five-O....book 'em Danno.

I still think that there needs to be video replay allowed in soccer...for something such as this...it was a missed call plain and obvious. The ref should have gone to the linesman for his opinion and if the linesman didn't see it either then he's not doing his job and should be let go by the league.

If there were video replay then each side would get only one review per game. They choose when to use it to challenge a ref's call. Because they only get one teams would be very careful even reluctant to abuse it. It would make refs better too as they can see their mistakes.

...just saying.
Boo Lazio more like. Fascist team LOL.

Used to enjoy watching Italian football over here, thanks to Football Italia and James Richardson - key point of presentation James sitting reading Gazzetta della Sport eating increasingly ludicrous ice creams.
