LibraryThing..and Good Omens...

Since I love organizing, when I discovered LibraryThing it turned out to be a Godsend. I've catalogued all the books I have read, to my recollection, since mid 2004. It is so pretty to look at my library in 'cover view' mode, arranged alphabetically and by rating. What is pathetic is that there are only 74 books there. *hangs head* Oh well, at least I'll be able to maintain a free account until I reach 200 books which probably won't be for another two years . It certainly offers a quick and easy method to find other novels of interest. In fact, it may take a while for me to realize the full potential of the site...

On the topic of books, I finished up Good Omens which was absolutely brilliant...brilliant...brilliant. It may not have been as laugh-out-loud funny as Lamb but it definitely comes a close second and will most assuredly be reread many, many  times. Loved both Crowley and Aziraraphale - in fact I kept waivering as to whom I loved more. I only wish a larger portion of the novel could have been devoted to them...and the Four Horsemen, err, Hell's Angels...and maybe some additional prophecies, or rather, 'interpretations' of the prophecies.

Well that brings my book total for 2008 up to...

And I am now moving on to two historical fiction works: The Secret Magdalene (guess what that might be about?? *rolls eyes*) and The Sidewalk Artist. I haven't quite decided which to read first but I am leaning towards the former as Salome is one of the main characters and I am on a bit of a Salome kick at the moment. Speaking of Salome, if anyone happens to know where I can get screencaps of Salome (Brigid Bazlen) from King of Kings, please let me know!!!
