The Mummy - No Harm from Reading a Book

January reads...

I am attempting to read 50 books this year. I say that every year but I never manage to get past 30. I'm doing a little better this year though. At least I'm still on track. Anyhow, I'll try to post a brief summary of the books read each month. The master list for the year will remain here - 2016 reading list.

  1. The Girl in the Spider's Web - David Lagercrantz (good to have you back, Lisbeth) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

  2. Contest - Matthew Reilly (how is this not a movie???) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (sidenote: I just read that Matthew Reilly has optioned the movie rights for The Great Zoo of China - that is going to be soooooo good)

  3. Murder on the Orient Express - Agatha Christie (loved the ending)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  4. The Devil's Queen - Jeanne Kalogridis (Cat de Medici & the influence of her court astrologer Cosmo Ruggiero)⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

  5. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs (can't wait to read the rest of this series!!...they are next up for February) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you have any recommendations, please let me know. I like all sorts of novels - but primarily mystery/thrillers (think Steve Berry, Daniel Silva, Matthew Reilly...), historical fiction, YA...but definitely NOT romance.
